AC Milan has said that Nikola Kalinic is undergoing a medical with the club this week and it seems highly likely that they will sign the player from Fiorentina.

At the same time, on Sunday they published a Tweet with the initials NK and the background changing from Fiorentina’s colours to Milan’s colours together with the worlds “Welcome to AC Milan.”
Kalinic was photographed on Monday arriving for his medical in Milan and Tuttomercatoweb quoted him as saying that he is “delighted” to be in Milan after spending a few days considering his future and not training in Florence.

It seems that the Croatian forward is set to become Milan’s eleventh, and possibly last, signing of the summer. The team’s efforts to find another forward will probably end after impressive performances from Italy under-19 forward Patrick Cutrone.

Cutrone scored for Milan during their 3-0 win at Crotone in their first game of the season and afterwards coach Vincenzo Montella said that he is taking the player off the market.

“We have decided to keep him with us,” Montella told Milan TV. “Last year he improved a lot playing with me, and this summer he has impressed me and now we are seeing the results. He is performing well but he has to keep calm because the toughest part is about to start: the pressure of being an AC Milan player, the media attention, which I wish wasn’t as overwhelming. He needs to remain calm.”

At the same time Montella asked for calm from the team’s fans after his team started the new season with an impressive performance. He also said that he is sure that the team will return to European competitions but that there is still work to do and that they are not yet in their “best shape”.
