Despite the rumours of a move back to Serie A, Antonio Conte has said that he is planning to stay at Chelsea for a long time.

It is thought that Inter Milan are interested in signing Conte who moved to Chelsea last summer from the Italy national team having previously taken Juventus to three consecutive league titles.

He has had an excellent start to his career in England with Chelsea holding a commanding league at the top of the Premier League. They are comfortably ahead of Tottenham and Conte has insisted that he intends to build on his initial success.

Speaking to Sky Sports Conte said, “I hope to stay for a long time here. Coaching is not an easy job and a lot depends on the results. I like to think results are important, but they are not everything. I think for every coach our work is important every day and then to be judged.”

He explained that he loves football, doesn’t want to lose and said that, “It’s great to know that Chelsea fans are happy with me.”

Conte said that he was initially “worried” when he moved to London as the situation was “totally different” and that “to transfer your ideas, your philosophy, to the training sessions, wasn’t easy.”

However, he said that the players showed great commitment and attitude. He changed the team’s formation to a back three and then won thirteen consecutive matches between October and January. As a result, they are now appear set to win their second title in three years.

Conte said that he is pleased and that he believes that the team is “in a good position, fighting to win the title, but the road is long and we must pay great attention.”
