Juventus is preparing to offer the former Manchester United full-back Patrice Evra a new contract. The Frenchman joined the club from United in 2014 and proved his worth helping the team in their run to the Champions League final last season.

While Evra will be turning 35 next month it is clear that Juventus is not put off by his age and still value his talents. The club is reportedly considering offering him a two year extension to his current deal with an option for a further year.

Last week Evra said that he is determined to play until he is at least 40 and that he will not be quitting international football with France after Euro 2016. Evra has made 71 appearances for the French national team and spent eight seasons at Manchester United making over 250 appearances for the club before his move to Italy.

In other Serie A news it is reported that both Leicester City and Stoke City are interested in the AC Milan player M’Baye Niang. Leicester is understood to have started pursuing the player in the January transfer window but was unable to agree to terms.

Niang was recently injured in a car crash but over the last few weeks he has recovered and put in some impressive performances in the Serie A. He joined Milan from the French team Caen in 2012 and has spent some time on loan to Montpellier and Genoa. This season he has scored eight goals in twenty appearances.

In addition to the Premier League teams Borussia Dortmund are also interested in the player so a bidding war is likely.

AC Milan recently sacked their coach Sinisa Mihajlovic and has replaced him with the youth coach Cristian Brocchi. It is not yet known whether this will affect Niang’s thoughts on the future.
