There are a number of rumours surrounding transfers to Manchester United with Jose Mourinho eager to improve his squad before the start of next season

Last week it was reported that Manchester United’s vice-chairman Ed Woodward has started negotiations that could see Paul Pogba return to Manchester United for a world record breaking deal worth £100 million. However, it is known that he is interested in signing for Real Madrid and at present there are conflicting reports over whether this is a possibility. Furthermore, there were rumours reported yesterday that he may remain at Juventus so it could be a while before there is any clarity of Pogba’s fate.

There have also been hints that Paris Saint-Germain’s Blaise Matuidi may be targeted if United fail to secure Pogba. There have been reports that he travelled to England earlier this week to hold talks and this has fuelled speculation over a potential move. It is known Mourinho wants to sign four players this summer and Matuidi is certainly one to watch.

There are also persistent rumours surrounding Real Madrid’s midfielder Toni Kroos despite the fact that he signed a six year deal with Madrid when he joined them in July 2014. Furthermore, he has been a regular starter for the team as they won the Champions League last season and he was named in UEFA’s team of Euro 2016 so it is likely that Real Madrid will be keen to hold onto him.

Elsewhere in the Premier League Newcastle United’s midfielder Moussa Sissoko has said that he is hoping for a quick move away from the team. Following his impressive performance for France in Euro 2016 there is now a considerable amount of interest in him and Newcastle has given him a price tag of £36 million.
