Marko Naletilic, Mario Pasalic’s agent, has said that the player is happy at AC Milan and would consider staying there after the season long loan from Chelsea comes to an end in the summer.
The Croatian midfielder scored the winning goal for the team in the 1 – 0 defeat of Bologna with just nine men last week and he has become a regular member of Vincenzo Montella’s team over the past few months.
Pasalic is due to return to London this summer but Naletilic has said that he will try to talk to Chelsea about the possibility of extending his time in Italy.
“We’ve still got to wait and see because he’s a Chelsea player and we need to decide what to do at the end of the season,” Naletilic said. “The lad is happy at Milan, but I don’t want to make any predictions now. He’s just happy to be playing regularly for Milan.”
He went on to say that they are happy to negotiate the possibility of him staying with Milan but that ultimately it will be up to Chelsea what happens in the future as it is Chelsea who owns his registration.
Naletilic said that Pasalic has been a fan of AC Milan since he was a child and that he is thankful for the faith the team has shown in him. However, he conceded that, “This might not mean anything, but it could also mean a lot.”
It is likely that Chelsea are keeping a close eye on Pasalic’s progress. He has scored two Serie A goals this season and made 13 appearances for Milan since he spend the first ten games of the season on the bench.
Naletilic added, “Mario’s getting better and better and he’s going to be one of the best around in his position in the future. He’s got a great personality and is tactically intelligent, while Montella has given him a great deal of confidence and he can only get better.”
