Harry Kane, the England captain and Tottenham player, has said that he is happy at Spurs but refused to rule out a move away later in his career.
This was the first time that Kane admitted that a move was a possibility. He has had a fantastic start to the season scoring 13 goals in September and there are growing reports that Real Madrid are interested in signing him.
Kane was asked if he could ever see himself playing in Spain or elsewhere in Europe to which he responded, “I would never say ‘no’ or ‘yes’. You’d not rule out anything. It’s not something I definitely want to do, but you never rule anything out. I’m very happy here [at Spurs], but we’ll see what happens.”
Kane, who shares the captaincy with Jordan Henderson, has always stressed his commitment to Spurs and while there is nothing to suggest that he will be leaving soon, especially after signing a new contract last year, it does suggest that he may one day have ambitions beyond the London club.
In the same interview, at Spurs’ training ground where the England team are based, he spoke at length about his approach to fitness and preparation and revealed that he has hired a chef to transform his nutritional programme.
There has been speculation recently that Kane could command a bigger transfer fee than Neymar and it was reported by the Spanish website Don Balon that Real Madrid are prepared to pay €200 million for Kane.
However, despite the fact that Tottenham may be able to make a huge amount of money, most people think that they will be eager to retain Kane, especially with them due to move into a new stadium.
