Emiliano Martinez, the Arsenal goalkeeper, will be spending the next season on loan with Spanish club Getafe.
The 24-year-old Argentinian made five first-team appearances for Arsenal last season and in the past he has been out on loan to Oxford, Sheffield Wednesday, Rotherham and Wolves.
He said that he hopes to return from Getafe to the Emirates Stadium in a year’s time and be able to challenge for more first team appearances.
Speaking to Arsenal Player he said, “I came from nothing and I’m at Arsenal now, one of the biggest clubs in the world, but I’m never satisfied. I was third choice fighting for second spot, so maybe the season after I will fight for number one. You always need to give more at Arsenal. It’s never enough and that’s what I try to do.”
