Leon Goretzka’s agent has denied the reports emerging in Spain and Germany that the Schalke midfielder has agreed to move to Bayern Munich when his contract expires in the summer.

On New Year’s Eve Sport Bild and Marca both reported that the 22-year-old Germany international, who has also been linked with Real Madrid, Barcelona and Liverpool in the last few weeks, has chosen to join Bayern.

However, his agent Jorg Neubauer said to Sport 1, “When a decision has been made, Leon and I will first inform Schalke.”

Meanwhile, Schalke’s CEO, Christian Heidel, has said that the club doesn’t know what will happen with Goretzka. Last month the player indicated that he was nearing a decision on his future but Heidel said, “Leon has yet to inform us that he has decided for a move, and I trust Leon and his agent, with whom I only had contact yesterday.”

There are reports that Schalke have made their star player an offer that could see him earning an annual salary of €12 million including all add-ons.

In other Bayern Munich news, captain Manuel Neuer has come off crutches for the first time since undergoing surgery in September.

The goalkeeper posted footage on his Instagram account of a training session with an anti-gravity treadmill that allows the keeper to train without putting too much wait on the foot that he fractured three times in just a couple of months last year.

However, the news is not so good for the midfielder Thiago Alcantara. Alcantara was not with the team when they travelled to their winter training camp in Qatar on Tuesday. He is still suffering from a muscle injury to his thigh that he picked up in late November and is yet to resume training.
